All about the Baratza Encore ESP – Espresso and filter
The Baratza Encore ESP splits its 40 settings in two: settings 1 to 20 move in small steps to dial in espresso, 21 to 40 take bigger steps for filter, French press and cold brew. With 40 mm M2 conical burrs and a dosing cup for 54 and 58 mm portafilters, it is the grinder we pair with an entry-level espresso machine.

40 mm M2 conical steel burrs
The same burr set Baratza uses in the Virtuoso+, for an even grind at espresso fineness.
Dosing cup for 54 and 58 mm
Grind straight into the anti-static 54 mm dosing cup and tip it into your portafilter. An adapter ring for 58 mm portafilters is included.
Quick-release burr
Lift the upper burr out without tools to brush it clean.
Shims to move the range
Add or remove the included shims to shift the fine range finer or coarser, for example when your coffee or machine changes.
Grind speed
1.3 to 2.2 g per second, depending on the setting.
